Question from Steve regarding the PEEP Part One Panel Discussion
"Is there a place to ask questions after the presentations or for further discussion?
Im curious how long to wait to see if peep helps decrease the DP. If I have a choice between decreasing the Vt or increasing the PEEP, I would rather choose the PEEP.
When going into a room I sometimes write down my vent check on paper, increase the peep, do my entry of the vent check on the computer and then check my plateau/dp on the new peep setting.
So, if there's no dp change, I may be faced with needing to decrease my Vt instead before I leave the room.
I have to be careful where I work as I only am given trust to change things depending upon the fellow and attending (who change weekly) trusting me. Some its a fight with and not worth it. Gets worse w the NP/PAs"
